Extraordinary General Meeting of Club Gymini

The Gymini Club will hold an Extraordinary General Assembly to discuss a modification to the general regulations. All members in good standing are invited to participate in the meeting which will take place on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 7:00 p.m., on the Teams platform.

The agenda for the Extraordinary General Meeting is as follows:

  1. Opening of the A.G.E.
  2. Appointment of the chairman and secretary of the meeting
  3. Verification of the regularity of the invitation
  4. Reading and adoption of the agenda
  5. Discussion and vote on the proposed modification to the general regulations.

Club Gymini Annual General Meeting

Club Gymini would like to inform all of its members that an Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. on the Teams platform, at the following address: click here to join the meeting.

We remind members who wish to present themselves as directors that they must complete the required documents and return them by email to nomination@clubgymini.org before Friday, April 14, 2023 at midnight.

We encourage all members to participate in this assembly in order to learn about the activities of our club and to participate in the important decisions that will have an impact on our organization.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

2023 Annual General Meeting Elections

According to its general regulations, the Board of Directors of Club Gymini has between 3 and 9 directors.

When electing directors, members must seek to promote parity between men and women as well as between the different sectors of activity, such as women’s and men’s artistic gymnastics, cheerleading, competitive, recreational, etc

 

For the April 25, 2023 election:

The following even seats will not be up for election, as they enter their 2nd year in office:

  • Seat 2: Christine Schonfelder
  • Seat 4: Nancy Pedro
  • Seat 6: Chantal Brood
  • Seat 8: Melanie Pilon

The 5 odd seats will be up for election. New terms are two years.

Eligibility

The essential requirements to be eligible to become a Gymini Club administrator are:

  1. Wishing to promote the intentions of the organization;
  2. Be an adult natural person;
  3. Be an athlete or parent of an athlete and have paid the registration fees or be a natural person wishing to get involved in the pursuit of the goals of the organization;
  4. Agree to work and work for free in pursuit of the goals of the organization;
  5. Satisfy any other condition that may be decreed by the Board of Directors, by way of regulation.
  6. Not have a criminal record incompatible with the task of administrator, and in particular, in the matters below:
    1. Violence;
    2. Sexual offences;
    3. Drugs and narcotics;
    4. Theft and fraud.
  7. Have been accepted by the Nominating Committee and thus meet the requirements determined by the Board of Directors and indicated in the call for nominations.

In addition, is not eligible as administrator:

  • Any person under guardianship, curatorship or a person declared incapable by the court of another province, another territory, another state or another country or a political subdivision thereof;
  • A Club employee;
  • An undischarged bankrupt;
  • Any person who is the owner or member of staff of a private company or member of staff of an organization linked to the Club by an agreement for goods or services.

Required profile

This year, the Board of Directors is particularly looking for directors with the following additional skills and/or expertise:

Significant experience in accounting, finance, law, governance, human resources management, technology management, communications and marketing management or entrepreneurship.

*** Do not hesitate to submit your application even if you do not have one or other of the skills and/or additional expertise listed above.

Procedure for submitting your application

We remind members who wish to present themselves as directors that they must complete the required documents and return them by email to nomination@clubgymini.org before Friday, April 14, 2023 at midnight.

The required documents are:

  • Your CV
  • A cover letter
  • The duly completed application form
  • The expression of interest form duly completed

The Nominating Committee will review your nomination file. This Committee has the following tasks:

  1. Call for applications;
  2. Receive applications;
  3. Solicit applications based on the profile of additional skills sought by the Board of Directors;
  4. Check the eligibility and admissibility of candidates according to the distribution of available seats and the eligibility conditions provided for in the general regulations; at no time will the mere failure of a candidate to meet the profile of additional skills sought by the Board of Directors make this person an ineligible candidate;
  5. Validate the commitment of candidates to respect the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for Directors;
  6. Provide the Board of Directors with the list of candidates it has deemed eligible, admissible and accepted for election and present them at the Annual General Meeting.

The mandate of the administrators extends from the moment of their appointment for a period of two (2) years.

At the first meeting of the Board of Directors, the directors will distribute the officer positions among themselves.

  1. President
  2. Vice-president
  3. Secretary
  4. Treasurer
  5. Director of Special Projects
  6. Fundraising Director

In general, it is necessary to plan one meeting per month
