April 16, 2020 at 11:30 a.m., Vaudreuil-Dorion – It is with a heavy heart, due to the exceptional situation in which the whole world is plunged, that we must make an exceptional decision. Following many discussions, several meetings and many emotions, we must reluctantly announce the end of the 2019-2020 competitive season for cheerleading. Thus, regardless of the decisions of the event organizers, GForce teams will not participate in any event initially scheduled to its calendar, including the National Championships and the Magical Championship of the World.
Concretely :
The 2019-2020 season has been short, but we want to remind all of our athletes of the accomplishments they have achieved and the honors they have received. Whether it is the titles of Grand Champions, the rings, the surprise bids (!!!) or even the personal objectives exceeded with flying colors, know that we (all the coaches) are extremely proud of you. Like you, we’re looking forward to returning to the gym. Don’t worry, this season will be celebrated with FORCE, as it should be, before starting the next one.
The gym will therefore be closed for an indefinite period, but we are still in communication with you! Challenges are regularly suggested on our Facebook page like our family strength training challenge, chants, jumps or cardio. In addition, from May 4, personalized team physical training will be available on our new web application: gyminigforce.glideapp.io. Follow us on social media to not miss anything, be motivated and keep fit!
We are a non-profit organization anchored in Vaudreuil-Soulanges since 1978. We have survived several situations for 40 years, notably a fire in 1982 which had damaged our equipment. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of the community, parents, coaches and gymnasts, the Club was able to overcome this situation at the time.
In these times of crisis, we will still need everyone’s help. COVID-19 will have significant impacts on the Club. Only for the G-Force, this is estimated revenue loss of $ 88,000. If you wish to donate, you can do so by following this link: https://www.amilia.com/store/fr/gymini/shop/fundraising/557557. The situation is difficult for everyone, if you are not able to donate, just keeping your credit for the year 2020-2021 and continuing to live your passion will help the Club get through this crisis with less difficulty.
The 2019-2020 national championships are officially canceled. The invoice for this competition will be canceled without any penalty and the balance will be credited to the members’ account.
For hotel rooms, the EventConnect platform has canceled rooms. Only a non-refundable deposit of approximately $ 65 should have been charged to your credit card. EventConnect will communicate with all customers who have booked through their platform within 60 days to give them flexible hotel credit, which can be used at any time, in any hotel. For more information on reservations, please refer to this Canadian Cheer Evolution press release.
Some parents have also reserved tickets for the finals of the event. These show tickets will be valid during the 2020-2021 event. For more details on this, please see this communication from Canadian Cheer Evolution.
The invoice for this competition (competition and accommodation costs) will be canceled without any penalty and the balance will be credited to the members’ account.
In view of the particular situation and disputed transportation charges, the invoice for transportation charges will be maintained on behalf of Rogue Team clients until more information is received. For the moment, no steps to receive payment in this regard will be taken towards members. A decision on this will be made when more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
The whole team is looking forward to seeing you in FORCE! Until then, let’s stay cautious, healthy and follow government guidelines. Thank you for your participation in the short 2019-2020 season, may the force be with you! It’s going to be fine.
