September 28, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. Vaudreuil-Dorion — Last Friday, the government raised the alert level for the city of Vaudreuil-Dorion. We are now in the orange alert level. Following this announcement, as a preventive measure, we canceled classes on September 25, 26 and 27.
On Saturday, a meeting with Gymnastique Québec clarified the elements concerning the “activity platforms”. The administrative team therefore set up a system of physical barriers where we were able to create four platforms meeting the criteria (separate entry and exit and controlled access) of public health, in our palestra.
We are therefore happy to be able to resume our activities, as of today, September 28, and this, in full compliance with government standards for the 3rd level of alert (orange).
We are aware that a government announcement is scheduled for 5:30 pm. Montreal could therefore enter the 4th level (red) alert tonight. At this time, we have no way of knowing what will be announced or what the new restrictions, if any, will be. You will be presented with a revised plan tomorrow, September 29, if applicable.
So stay tuned for your emails as well as the Club’s Facebook page.
We would like to thank you very much for your patience. We never want to cancel classes, but it is vital for the entire sports industry to stand behind government decisions and take the required actions quickly to reduce the long-term impacts of this pandemic. Your health, that of your children and of our employees is our priority and depends on respecting the rules and regulations.
Stay healthy, be safe, and let’s do everything to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.
